We have a new change in our policies. We now allow users to link to the following search engines: Google, Ask Jeeves for Kids, and Yahooligans. TrackStar has deemed these sites as the search engines that result in the most appropriate findings for adults and children. |

| New TrackStar Copyright Infringement Policy |
| TrackStar has a new copyright infringement policy. Tracks with 2 to 5 links can have no more than 2 links to the same site. Tracks with 6-15 links can have no more than 3 links to the same source. Please read our copyright infringement page for further clarification. |

| New Explanation of Extended Learning Questions |
| Not quite sure what qualifies as extended learning? We have noticed some confusion when it comes to selecting between the Worksheet format and the Extended Learning format of a Track, so check out our new guidelines to alleviate your uncertainties. The Extended Learning Questions page, lists four categories of extended learning questions, and gives example questions by which to model your Track's annotations. |

| Including HTML in TrackStar annotations |
| Our first advice to all TrackStar users is to save a draft of your Track's links & annotations in a word processed document. It's easy to copy-paste these items into TrackMaker.
If you include HTML in your annotations though, be sure to use a sans serif font like Arial, Helvetica, or Verdana. If you use serif (curly) fonts like Times New Roman in HTML, you may run into trouble. Browsers sometimes misinterpret certain curly characters, like quotation marks, apostrophes, and commas, especially when used in tags. |
