My students have demonstrated a learning gap in writing about current event articles from the newspaper. These sites will help them gain knowledge about the newspaper.

The stated learning gap is how to write paragraphs. When my 6th grade Language Arts were asked to write paragraphs,the results were short,choppy sentences. This activity guides students throuth the writing process for a successful five sentence paragraph with varied sentence beginnings. It help teach the student to use variety to creat interesting paragraphs.

The objective is reading for meaning,pleasure and understanding comprehension. I plan on using this track to show my students the correct way to evaluate a novel. The goal is at the end they will be able to write a excellent book report of Sarah, Plain and Tall. This track is good because it take each chapter and divides it in chapters.
