Learning About Habitats
Annotations by Karen Rudgis
Track #177707
Format: Resource list
This track was designed as supplemental material to reinforce science vocabulary and concepts for the ELL student. Learning About Habitats was developed to enhance a science kit by the same name "Habitats". This was developed for an SEI classroom to provide my ELL students with comprehensible research material and activities that would be presented visually and auditorily. These links will help the ELL students to develop their scientific vocabulary, comprehension, research and project skills. Also, this compilation allows students to learn by exploring and developing their own projects independently or in small groups.

They can also take a virtual tour of the Globe Theater. It will introduce the students to two sonnets and two plays written by William Shakespeare. Each of the readings will have follow-up activities and foster an understanding of classical literature. There will be two final projects: a class book of sonnets published and a video of the two plays produced.
