 Track Description
Track-A-Day
In this unit students will read a variety of Hispanic literature, primarily folktales. They and will synthesize content and ideas from several sources to show comprehension. They will analyze, compare, and contrast the presentation of a similar theme across genres to explain how the selection of genre shapes the theme or topic. They will write original stories reflecting their understanding of the concepts and relationships in the Hispanic literature they have studied. Specific foreign language standards the students will meet are to: understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics [2], demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the practices and perspectives of the cultures studied [4], and demonstrate an understanding of the concept of culture through comparisons of the cultures studied on their own [9].
