Grade Level Expectation 2 - The student will:  (1)  Explain how physical features and climate affected migration, settlement patterns, and land use in the United States through 1877.

Also, (2)  Create a PowerPoint presentation showing the climate, physical features, latitude location, settlement patterns, railroad routes, and products of one assigned U.S. geographical region during this time period.
