This lesson is designed for the fifth grade level.  The students will be able to describe the similarities and differences of the five animal species by comparing their characteristics and preferred environmental conditions.  They will use the information to help them understand how an organism’s structure helps them to function in their environment. They will have a chance to elaborate on a particular organism of their choice to learn more about its habitat.
