Lessons in this unit cover the early presidents and supporting individuals who played important roles in forming our government system as we know it today. Students will gain an appreciation of our "democratic" political system while comparing and contrasting past events and how these issues are relevant today. Many higher order thinking skills are included in activites integrating history, writing, and reading.
