These websites will introduce you to several neighborhoods and communities around the world!

This should help you understand Theme 3 of Houghton Mifflin Anthology and Practice Book; in addition, will help you understand our Social Studies Topic about communities.

This activity addresses CA State Standard in Social Studies about communities.

2.2 Students demonstrate map skills by describing the absolute and relative locations of people, places, and environments.
  1. Locate on a simple letter-number grid system the specific locations and geographic features in their neighborhood or community (e.g., map of the classroom, the school).
