 Track Description
After examining their own perspectives on understanding art, middle school students will view artwork from several countries in Asia, Southeast Asia, and Indonesia. Lessons and activities that are connected to understanding the art of Southeast Asian countries, as well as the art of various cultures, are included. This Track was developed based on the National Content Standards for Art Education, Grades 5-8, #4 "Understanding the visual arts in relation to history and culture," and #5 "Reflecting upon and assessing the characteristics and merits of their work and the work of others."
