Students will use the various Dinosaur sites to increase their knowledge and skills. Students will create a chart or table identifying dinosaur species and their characteristics. Their chart or table should include the following elements: name of dinosaur, it's definition, "anatomy" facts, when it lived, intelligence/behavior, diet(teeth), how they move, and any discovery of fossils. Students will create a vocabulary list of new words, then go online to make a wordsearch, find definitions, and make a crossword puzzle. Students will use their writing skills to address a prompt. They will also enjoy completing a "Mad Lib" for the dinosaur of their choice. This activity can result in an illustrated poem. Students could prepare a PowerPoint to present before their class. On top of all of this, students will enjoy the variety of extra activities at each site, such as a virtual reality dinosaur museum tour. But, don't forget to take the grade from the Quia quiz as your assessment!
