 Track Description
This is a collection of sites which can be used to explore various aspects of Chinese history and culture Objectives: The students will navigate around an internet site to acquire appropriate information. The students will identify important information about Chinese culture. The students will view photos and drawings to help them form a knowledge base about Chinese history. TEKS: Technology 1C, 2A, 8B; Language 7B&C, 8C&D, 12D&E, 13; Math 1; Social Studies 2A&B, 16B, 17B&C Note: The TEKS listed are 2nd grade level since this tour was used with a 1st and 2nd grade gifted & talented class. Vocabulary List: abacus, archaeology, Beijing, bronze, calligraphy, ceramics, compass, Daoist, dynasty, Forbidden City, gunpowder, immortal, lunar, Ming, mummy, panda, papermaking, pit, printing, Sichuan, tomb, weaving Note: This is only a basic list, as each of the sites is fairly extensive..
