 Track Description
4. The Civil War was a tumultuous and opinioned time in American History. In an effort to end the War decisively, both sides of the conflict turned to the brightest minds they had access to. Your goal to identify some of the major advances of these minds and record them on your student log. Once you have chosen the 10 topics you would like to research, begin following the other links. Try to locate a date, battle, and fact that occurred when this new development came into play. Use this information to fill out your Timeline Log. Some dates will not be exact, but all inventions played a significant part in the war. Make sure to gather enough information for your persuasive paper. Once you all of the necessary information begin construction of your timeline. After the timeline is completed, refer to the last link in this track to create the writing checklist for which you will be held accountable. (NOTE: This track is part of a technology connected lesson. Once this lesson is online a link will be given.)
