 Track Description
The Basic Spanish Vocabulary and Pronunciation Track is intended to give beginning students an introduction to basic words of the Spanish language. Due to the fact that speaking is one of the main components of learning a language, this Track begins by giving students the opportunity to hear how Spanish letters and words sound. The students then go on to listen and follow along to the words of La Bamba so they hear and see the spelling of words in an actual song. This Track would be a great accompaniment to learning vocabulary in the class because students also have the opportunity to practice the reading and writing component of the language in two games. Finally, the Track provides a link to words that describe physical appearance so students can describe themselves and their friends. This final activity is the start to having students form sentences. Overall this track provides interesting, easy-to-use links that will get middle school students “hooked” as they start learning Spanish.
