Track Description
Students need to learn about the human body in order for them to achieve awareness of themselves as a healthy individual. By learning how body parts and systems work together, students are more equipped with the ability to make the healthiest choices for their lifestyle. Students will demonstrate more than just declarative knowledge of the human body by actively participating in various hands-on tasks as well as observation and data collection. The integration of technology into this lesson will enhance students' learning by exposing them to another way of interpreting new information with resources such as the track's listed websites.
Through this lesson, students will unltimately gain a deeper understanding of the various components of the human body as well as how these components function within larger systems. This lesson is geared towards grade levels third through fifth. However, it can easily be modified to accommodate lower or higher grade levels.
