This site will address SS k-2 Standard#1 - Using maps and globes. We have previously studied the equator and its location. The students have a natural curiosity about the North and South poles so they will enjoy learning about these polar deserts and the penguins,seals and polar bears. This unit is the basis for our study. Using downloaded sections of this unit, the students will answer these questions.
