The Tennessee Curriculum Frameworks says children in the intermediate grades should develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language. This track will address the weakness students have in producing different kinds of writing. It will have them write motivating stories which apply to their interests and encourage them to write daily and keep a journal. They will learn how writing is used in areas of their world such as advertising.
