 Track Description
In compliance with the State of Tennessee Curriculum Framework, students will need the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, analysis, and the appreciation of the written text. They will need to read not only short stories but also classics in preparation for high school classes in English. This unit allows the students to see that reading can not only be informative but it can be fun. They begin by being introduced to classic literature. Oftentimes we are so eager for students to read that we do not encourage them to read the timeless novels that add vision to their daily lives.
