This track is designed for a General high school Drama student beginning to learn acting skills and general characterization.(Learning Gap and Curriculum Standard) Acting skills include the body positions such as cheating out, full front and profile and the ways students should use them. Most general drama students have difficulty in creating characters, they cannot make them "believeable" and interesting. This track addresses the following Tennessee State Curriculum Guide Standards - Theatre Arts Acting 9 - 12 Level 4 - ACTING - Movement - Synthesize movement techniques in developing characters Improvisation - Synthesize improvisational skills and techniques in creating a character.The student will create a character biography.
