 Track Description
The "Great American Inventors" are competing to decide who has made the biggest difference to the lives of modern day America. Students will be acting as their campaign managers. It is their job to find out why these inventors are important to modern day America and "sell" them to their classmates. As they complete their investigation, they will think about what life would be like had their inventor not accomplished what he did. Students will be voting at the end of this project to decide who was the most influential. You and your partners will be researching one inventor and then writing a one minute campaign commercial stating why your inventor is important to modern day America. You will need to write a script for the commercial because you will be videotaping it. Remember, you want to convince your classmates that your inventor was the most influential so really "sell" him. You will also be writing an article about what life would be like in modern day America had your inventor not accomplished what he did (assuming no one else did it.)
