 Track Description
This track contains six entries that address Reading: Grades 3-5. The following content standard is addressed from the TN Curriculum Frameworks for Reading: The student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. This track on homonyms includes the following objectives: the student will define,identify, match, select,and create a book containing homonyms.The following learning expectations are included in this track from the TN Curriculum Frameworks : apply a variety of reading strategies:extend reading vocabulary utilizing sight words, phonetic and structural analysis, and context: improve comprehension by interpreting, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating written text: read orally to develop fluency, expression, accuracy, and confidence: read independently for a variety of purposes; utilize sources of information including technological tools: and develop skills in making inferences and recognizing unstated assumptions.
