 Track Description
This track will help the student develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences. The student will map, write, revise, proofread, and publish a book for beginning readers. Three lesson plans present ways of learning the writing process. A fun game for developing thinking skills is included. Learning Expectations: The student will 1) begin to identify and write for a variety of audiences,(2) to practice a variety of prewriting activities to generate and organize ideas . and ( 3) Recognize and demonstrate appropriate use of standard English: usage, mechanics, spelling, and sentence structure.
