The Tennessee Curriculum Framework Content for Reading Comprehension Standards for grade six is improve comprehension by interpreting, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluation written texts. Another standard is use comprehension strategies to enhance understanding, to make predictions, and to respond to literature. The students will use mysteries to do the following: Demonstrate an understand of mysteries and the vocabulary in them; - Learn to read critically and analyze information using mysteries; - Read mysteries and solve them; - Use internet to find mysteries, to read, and solve them; and - Use their knowledge of mysteries to write them.
