 Track Description
This unit on folk art will enable fifth grade art students to recognize that symbols and images found in different cultures may communicate similar or different meanings. Lessons found in this unit such as mud paintings, visionary art, etc. will give the students a greater awareness of folk art by having them recognize that art reflects the time, place, and cultural identity of those who create it.
