 Track Description
Following are resources discussing the special needs of students with hearing impairments and explains visual instructional strategies appropriate for use in the classroom with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This Track describes available guides and detailed lesson plans for working with students who are Hearing Impaired including; integrating signing, assessment models, classroom environmental adaptations and modifications, examples of visual materials to use such as graphic organizers, mediated/scaffolded instruction, and technology materials and programs.  Lessons align with IRA/NCTE Standards.
