This unit was chosen to help upper elementary students to build their grammar skills. Students' ability to communicate effectively relies on the foundations that are created in their mind about grammar. Students know about subject-verb agreement long before they are introduced to the terms. They learn it by listening to people speak correctly. The student will develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences. The student will use, read, and view media/technology and analyze content and concepts accurately. This unit helps students to meet these standards by letting them build on previous foundations by playing interactive grammar games, searching for various parts of speech, and answering grammar questions.
