This track addresses the Content Standard for Reading 3-5: The student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. Students will enjoy a journey into make-believe as they read the classic book, "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe". Students will complete activities that are correlated to sections of the book. They will work independently as well as in small groups to complete unit activities. This track involves prewriting strategies, use of vocabulary, comprehension (questions on-line), characterization,silent and oral reading, responding to literature, and opportunities to do research by the use of a computer.
