 Track Description
Students are guided through a series of lessons designed to help them develop strategies for the comprehension of written texts and for the identification of the elements of fantasy. Students will address the curriculum standard of improving comprehension by interpreting, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating written texts and the learning gap of comprehending written text by rewriting a familiar tale, identifying characteristics of different types of tales, reconstructing missing elements of a story so that they make sense, differentiating between physical characteristics and character traits, and answering questions about the love shared between the characters in a story.
