The stated Learning Gap is : 60% of my 3rd grade class cannot state basic personal safety rules. The Tn Curriculum Frameworks Compreshensive Health for grades 3-5 Personal Safety and First Aid states that the student will understand attitudes and behaviors for preventing accidents and injuries and the student will understand the appropriate action to take when personal safety is threatened. This track will raise the awareness of my students in recognizing unsafe situations and selecting the correct response. It will also help make my students responsible for themselves and for them to use their best judgements.
