 Track Description
This track for my fourth grade reading class uses group activities based on a single novel to enhance critical thinking reading skills which are addressed in my learning gap and our School Improvement goals. In addressing these skills in a motivational way, students are working toward the Tennesse Language Arts Framework expectation that they will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. Students will also be involved in acitivies which will help them choose which parts of a topic are most important to explain to others and help them best demonstrate what they know about topics as required in the Student Profiler Survey.
