This lesson for sixth grade includes hands on activities by making globes and maps. This lesson addresses the curriculum frameworks which states students will demonstrate how to use maps and other tools to acquire, process, and report information from a spatial perspective. The lesson will provide the students the ability to perform higher order thinking skills as mentioned in our school's improvement plan.It will help my students spot the important facts, concepts and vocabulary when they are learning something new, and help them find ways to use what they learn.
