Track Description
This track is for my second grade classes, although it could be adapted for K-4. The students will be exploring different instruments by listening, observing, and playing them. Then they will test their knowledge by trying out quizzes on the Internet. TN CURR. STANDARDS MUSIC ¿ K-2 cluster - Performing on instruments, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music, recognize the differences in tone color of voices and classroom instruments, identify orchestral instruments or pictures of these, and classify into families. TN GATEWAY STANDARDS: ENGLISH II 3.0 Viewing and Representing: The student will use, read, and view media/technology and analyze content and concepts accurately. ENGLISH II 4.0 Speaking and Listening: The student will express ideas clearly and effectively in a variety of oral contexts and apply active listening skills in the analysis and evaluation of spoken ideas. RPOFILER SURVEY: students and teachers will use information gathered online to learn about instruments and the students will actually use online quizzes to assess their learning. SIP GOALS: Our school has a goal that student swill become more responsible. This track will enable students to become more responsible as they will have to take the online quizzes on their own time within a certain time period.
