 Track Description
The stated learning gap is for students to be able to decode phonograms using the pricipals of phonics and other word analysis skills. This track was designed to give 3rd grade teachers access to some sites for Language Arts lessons and activites. The Tennessee Curriculum Framework states that students should have the structual skills necessary to communicate their ideas. Students will be involved in decoding unknown words, applying regular phonetic rules to words they construct, matching a given word to one of three pictures, reading independently for a variety of purposes, create a word family book, and playing games.
