In observing my students creative writing, I found that they had a very difficult time generating ideas, staying on the topic,and writing complete sentences. I want them to be effective writers for the future. Learning Gap: Students have demonstrated difficulties in creative writing. The Tennessee Framework that fits this unit is: The students will develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences. The survey question that works best with this unit is: My students use what they have learned in one subject in other subjects.
