 Track Description
The stated learning gap is that students have shown difficulties in comprehension skills. The unit, "Weaving Charlotte's Web," addresses the learning gap because it requires the students to read a book and participate in class discussions concerning resourcefulness teamwork, family and relationships. References sources such as the Internet, library, dictionary and encyclopedia will be used by students to develop comprehension skills. The fourth grade English/Language Arts 3-5 cluster states that the student will develop reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. The Pre-Survey impacted my choice of this unit because it will enable my students to use the Internet to research topics and answer questions or practice skills online.
