Track Description
The stated gap is understanding and using the Dewey Decimal System to find books in the library. A TN Curriculum Framework Content for Language Arts for Grades 6-8 is: The student will use, read, and view media/technology and analyze content and concepts accurately. In this track the student will develop a fundamental knowledge of the skills needed in locating and utilizing materials and become an independent and proficient user of the library. Students will classify book titles by using the Dewey Decimal Classification System. I choose this track because it allow my students to use the intenet to answer questions and practice skills online as described in the Profiler teacher survey.
