Track Description
This is a unit lesson in which students learn the key components of physical fitness and how it is important to their livelihood. The content standards state that the student will understand the role of lifetime physical activity and the principles of safe and effective exercise and be able to plan a personal fitness program.
The learning expectations are:To keep a daily journal of their physical activity for one month. The students will do three vigorous activites a day. They will write down the reasons why being physically fit is important to them.Students will be able to explain how being physically fit can affect your future.Students will learn to do in class studies on how being physically fit can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.Finally the students will write down how they felt about themselves before this physical fitness project and how they feel now.
