This track is designed to educate career and technical students on the positive guidance techniques used for preschools. Student Outcomes 1. The students will be able to locate and research the requirements needed to become a early childhood/preschool teacher. 2. The students will be able to list responsibilities of the Early Childhood teacher and the purpose of guidance. 3. The students will be able to classify and compare how children develop physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally between the ages of birth to 5 years old that can effect guidance. 4. The students will be able to role-play various guidance techniques for effective guidance of preschool students. 5. The students will be able to create and evaluate a lesson to promote cognitive development of preschool children. Advanced student outcomes 1. The students will be able to produce a training video guiding student on the use of positive guidance techniques. 2.
