 Track Description
The unit / lesson plans on this track are primarily designed for students in grades 3-5. The lessons encourage students to apply figurative language in everyday life. The various activities include creative writing, group discussion, interpretation, and illustration. These lessons are also literature based, and provide a variety of books and poems that can be used to explore the different forms of figurative language. These lessons will help students to build curriculum based standards by providing them with several opportunities to comprehend stories, evaluate the purpose of various forms of text, and understand figurative excerpts in literature.
