 Track Description
The stated learning gap is that students need a variety of activities to learn math strategies. Some learn math visually and some learn hands-on. This activity gives the student a chance to do both. My students will learn activities other than the day to day use of textbooks. My students will be able to do problems that require them to apply appropriate tools and units of measurement, to develop effective estimation and computation strategies for producing reasonable results, and to calculate using appropriate tools such as mental mathamatics, technology, manipulatives, and pencil-and-paper. My students end result will be an understanding of the estimation strategies.
