Track Description
This track will meet the learning gap my students have with parts of speech by requiring them to construct a sentence using parts of speech, choose the correct word that represents different parts of speech, underline different parts of speech according to their function in a sentence, and diagram a sentence by making a "human sentence". The Tennessee Framework for 7th grade writing states, "The student will develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences." This track will allow this standard to be met. Item number 6 from the teacher survey states, "My students find ways to use what they learn." Students are applying what they learned in this unit to everyday life.
