I created this track to work with my third grade class to strengthen my learning gap weakness in the area of comprehension. Comprehension activities in this track include story predicting, vocabulary and language comprehension, and understanding characters and their traits. This unit addresses the three through five language arts curriculum standard which states the student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text. Students will be working on the skill " I know which facts about my lessons are important and why I need to remember them."
