Track Description
This track will allow students to engage in creative writing activities to communicate their feelings. They will learn about what a Haiku poem is and work in cooperative groups to create and share Haiku poems. This will give them an opportunity to practice their writing skills to address their learning gap in writing skills. This targets curriculum framework standard for Language Arts leve 3-5: The student will develop the structural and creative skills necessary to produce written language that can be read and interpreted by various audiences. This track also addressed a weakness in survey question 22, "I use the Internet in my class to research topics."
