Fourth grade students in my self-contained, regular education math class have difficulty with the quick and accurate recall of multiplication facts in tables 0-9. This track will help all students systematically meet the standard of understanding Estimation, Measurement, and Computation. The students will develop skills which will include problems which require them to apply appropriate tools and units of measurement, to develop effective estimation and computation strategies for producing reasonable results, and to calculate using appropriate tools such as mental mathematics, technology, manipulatives, and pencil-and-paper. Learning Expectation: Students will recognize and apply properties of whole numbers and their operations, and will improve their individual scores of timed tests on multiplication tables 0-9 at least to 80% accuracy.
