This Track is designed for middle school students who have been assigned to small groups. They are to search the links and then use the information to create a PowerPoint presentation that gives a brief synopsis of the history of the internet and then discusses in detail a particular step in the development of the Internet that they find most interesting. They also are to include a section in their presentation that highlights how lives are benefited with the internet. This project fulfills two of Missouri Show-Me Standards of Education. Goal 1: Students in Missouri public schools will acquire the knowledge and skills to gather, analyze and apply information and ideas. Goal 2: Students in Missouri public schools will acquire the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively within and beyond the classroom.
