This Track, created for Algebra I students, is a unit on understanding and applying the concept of slope. Students will have an introduction to slope and the slope-intercept form of an equation, and then perform several activities to discover and use the concept of slope in real-world problem solving. These activities incorporate Gateway standards by students using real numbers to represent real-world applications (1.7) and applying the concept of rate of change (3.8).
