 Track Description
Children informally learn to divide. They know what half of something is and the concept of sharing. Students need an understanding of grouping. Initial experiences with division should include both types of learning. When students can connect both types of dividing--sharing and grouping--then they have a better chance of making the connection to other arithmetic operations . The In this track students will have various opportunities to practice division skills. The practice activities shouls enable them to recall division facts and also undestand the relationship between the mathematical operations of multiplication and division. The Learner Expectation is that students will be able to quickly and accurately recall division fact zero through nine's.
