 Track Description
The unit on research and library skills will give students an understanding of the vast array of research resources available to them on the Internet. My students have demonstrated difficulties in basic research and library skills. Elementary students will use these sites to gain knowledge of on-line encyclopedias, Internet search engines, atlases, almanacs, and dictionaries. Students will also access a site to help them gain mastery of the Dewey Decimal System. Using this track, students will use pathfinder skills to systemically locate information from each online source, record that information, and present their findings in a multimedia presentation to the class using Power Point.
