Track Description
This Track has been developed with five unit plans covering newspapers with the emphasis on the parts of newspapers, types of articles, different sections, etc. The sited Tennessee Content Standard for this Track is the student will use, read, and view media/technology and analyze content and concepts accurately.
All five units provide a variety of activities for students to become familiar with the newspaper and to use them to gather and use information effectively. These lessons will also address the TN survey statement #10 (My students spot the important facts, concepts, and vocabulary when they are learning something new).
