Track Description
From teaching 7th grade Literature and giving the curriculum tests, I have found that 60% of my students do not comprehend what they have read. I created this track to help students understand that it is easier to comprehend what you read than what they think. This track addresses the content standard that states, "The student will develop the reading skills necessary for word recognition, comprehension, interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and appreciation of the written text." It addresses the survey question that states, "My students are willing to try something that is hard for them." In this track, students will be doing online activities, learning to take notes, and participating in memory games that will hopefully all aide comprehension.
