 Track Description
This track is designed for middled school students who are studying aviation history. The track will allow students to conduct hands-on learning experiments that lead to a fuller understanding of the principles of flight. Furthermore, it is intended as an online research resource for students to gain information on outstanding people in aviation and for them to be able to describe their contributions to the evolution of flying. The track relates to the state social studies curriculum frame work that states students will address historical trends in order to interpret historical information and put it in the context of past, present, and future. It also relates to the curriculum framework that states students will exhibit a knowledge of history, identifying and describing major events, people, and trends. Finally, the track will allow me to use the Internet in my class to answer questions and practice skills online as described in the Profiler Teacher Usage Survey.
